My big night out before surg at Jakes Crawfish/Portland. Oyster sampler (yes each tastes different depending on the inlet it was harvested from), plus a fav - horseradish crusted Steelhead with a nice chard. Truly a great blend of flavors!

I'd have to pass on the oysters. The steelhead would be fine, but I'm the same way with it as I am with salmon, wouldn't want a full meal of it, just a side with some steak or something.

Or I'll do the same salt pepper grind on it, then put a 5 pepper grill mates rub on it and grill on cedar planks on the grill.

I like taking the wild caught filets and searing in a cast iron skillet with some Evoo. Prior to putting in pan, ill put fresh ground sea salt, ground black pepper and sone lemon & pepper seasoning. Med-med/high heat for 3-4 min on each side abd it's perfect.

My parents aren't that cheap.
