Somebody explain something to me. These tires on the 500 are sticky as hell, but I don't understand something they do. When it is cold outside, they pick up every little pebble or anything else on the road. You can hear it "tinking" in the fender wells. However, not much at all this summer when it was 100 degrees out. What gives? You would think they would pick up much more when hot and sticky, than when cold and hard as a *****'s heart.

The rocks are not sticking to the rubber. They are sticking in between the treads. Colder tires are stiffer and hold on to the rocks longer in the grooves. I'm guessing.
