Mustang or Airplane?

Ok, so my wife and I are out running around yesterday when I decided to get her some new floor mats for her Explore. We go to Pep Boys, I pull in a parking space right upfront and behind a 1999-2004 Mustang GT wannabe Cobra. As I come to a stop, turn off the car, he is revving his engine like it was the last time he was going to drive his stang (wish it was the last time). His car was so loud it literally hurt my wife’s and my ear drums. No joke. I don’t know what he had done but it was not stock. I mean this thing was so loud you would think an airplane was taking off.
My wife and I just sit there for a second cracking up. We finally head towards the store to see that 3 Pep Boy emplyees and 2 customers are looking out the window cracking up as well. We get in the store and were joking about how he was probably taking off to land at the local airport which was 3 miles away.
I just cant figure out what is wrong with people today. You might like it but dont let yourself become the joke of the day. I mean I would like to run around naked all day. How comfortable would that be. But I dont want to be the joke of the day. Just a thought and opinion that I had to get out.
P.S. I meant to say What is up with the exhaust...little typo

I was at a gas station a few weeks back and some kid came in w/ a 300z w/ 2 of the loudest fart cans I've ever heard on the back... and the worst. The guy at the pump and I joke... "the funny thing is he actually wants his car to sound that way" ... "ha, ha." Well, as soon as he (finally) shut his engine off, a 03ish Mustang GT pulls away, duals a blaring sweet v8 music. I yell to my wife (walking the dog) "That's what a real car sounds like." Loud enough so the punk heard me, I got a dirty look from him, and gave him back a big

I saw on the news that there is a new exhaust thing that can be welded on and it sounds like a jet. It's a really, really high pitched whine kind of sound too.

That video is hilarious! Bubb Rubb looked as if he were going to sideswipe some cars on his way out. This is pretty ridiculous.

That video was interesting. I thought for a moment I was watching the Dave Chappelle Show. Reminds me of the characters he portrays sometimes. Love that show!
About the exhaust whistle, it seems pretty annoying in the short time they showed it on the news report. It wasn't as loud as I would have imagined, just kind of strange. I think it would turn heads, but the cars they showed it on were not worthy of a second glance. I wonder if the people that have it get tired of it and have it removed from their exhaust tips. The guy that demonstrated the whistle in his car drove pretty recklessly; he crossed into the opposing lane and flew through a stop sign!
BTW John, excellent remark you made! I've said the same thing, but not directly to a "fart can" user. (love that expression) I call them "Tecumseh" exhaust systems because they sound like Tecumseh chainsaws!
