Modded your V8 for more power vs burn regular gas to save money

I'd like to start a poll on the subject, but don't know how.

You don't need to run premium to mod your car.... /thread?

cinque35 5/22/13 07:52 AM

would never do any mod that requires premium gas ever

:hail:I have an 87 octane Street and an 87 octane Performance tune from Bama in my 13 GT and it is amazing how much more power and mileage they produce.

the 8 is ridiculous on 87, there's no possible gain you could get that would justify paying 20-40cents more/gal.

edit: and forget the 8, i wouldn’t buy any car/engine that doesn't use regular, 4 6 or 8

I can think of several mods that would require premium gas ;)

Like this at 12-15 psi. This would be a mod worth paying premium fuel prices :)

LOHL

**** and all that time I thought C16 helped you go fast.

I will run my 93 vs your 87 mod for mod and have my tune set for 93 and yours for 87 and watch me drag that thing around.

you should get a 89 tune. If you go on trips you cant always get 93 in a lot of states/areas.

I don't take the Mach on trips, and if I did, I could always put it back to the stock tune til I got back.
