Wow, so sorry to hear that . . . that is quite a shocker, he just posted here within the past few days

I don't suppose there is any way we can send a "forum friends" condolences to his family?

Wow, shocking. I enjoyed my interactions with him online, both here and on other forums. My impression of his online presence is that he was a good and descent person. Someone I would have liked to meet in person and gotten to know better. I too would like to send my sympathy and my condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed.

Thanks Steve. I’m encouraging anyone/everyone who wants to post condolences to the family to do so on this thread.

I see that you already have, and I encourage others to follow. I’m giving the family special access so they can respond if they want to.

I only knew David from interactions on this forum, for many years now.

David was one of those guys who always had something positive or constructive to say; even if he had a problem or issue of some kind, he would always phrase it in a positive or helpful way. He never let on that he had any major problems happening with his health or family. I'm sure he lived his "real" life the same way -- always looking at the positive and with something good to say, not dwelling on the negative.

We'll miss his positive presence and contributions here, sincere condolences to his non-virtual family and friends.
