Too old?
My first mustang was a new 1965 HiPro 289 4 speed fastback. Rare at the time. I was 18 years old. Had to have my dad co-sign
Second was a new 1969 GT fastback. Also, a little rare. I was 22 at the time. First new purchase without a co-signer.
Third is a 2005 S197 Premium convertible. Bought a few months ago. I was 75 at the time.
I might look too old and no longer attract the pretty young ladies when I drive by. But, I still get to look and it makes ME feel good. And that's what keeps me young! ..... Jim

Too old?
Sure hope there is no limit on being too old. I've had 11 Mustangs, one a 93 Cobra that I supercharged and raced often when 46 yrs old.
My latest is a 22 Grabber Blue GT. Oh yeah, I"m 76 now. Only thing I dont like about the Mustang club I'm in is none of them want to go
drag racing, and yes, I'm the oldest one in the club.

I can't help but smile. Good one to bring back.
Too old for convertibles??? My wife barely was OK with my R/T purchase. "Don't they make a convertible version??"
Almost nothing but 'verts in this household since we moved to NC in 2002. Just turned 69 and wife is 64.
All have seen the Tail of the Dragon on the NC/TN border.

Although you may not care for the Mustang II.... Just keep in mind if it had been for the Mustang II, chances are the Mustang would have not remained in production for over the last 60 years as we know it today.... Therefore, the Mustang II deserves some love/credit for saving the Mustang from potentially becoming discontinued due to the Arab Embargo Crisis which took place during the early-middle 1970's era...

The thing that sucked most was that I really didn't want this 'vert. I wanted a Thunderbird, but sometimes you have to appease your gals when they are so supportive of all your other rides. She really wanted this one.

Thank you! No argument here on the Z3. The electronics were brutal and every idiot light on the dash would illuminate at times, yet nothing was wrong!! The drivetrain and performance were outstanding in this 3.0L 225 HP version but you had to ignore everything else in or on the car. This was way before serious electronics and the NAV screens. I can't imagine how bad some BMW's must be today. I certainly would never get a used one.

My very first car was a black 68 Cougar. It was ragged out but it got me where I needed to go. I sold it to a friend to buy a 73 Gran Torino Sport fastback.

Greetings Fellow Mustang Owners,
I took the poll. There aren't that many participants, but of those who did vote, I'm among the majority being 64 years old! So the young mid-30's fellow should feel like he's still in diapers and not even old enough for a driver's license! LOL! IMO, buy the car! Sell it if it doesn't feel good. My insurance is actually lower than my other newer vechicles. I suppose that's because the book value is much lower and it's not used for a daily commute. I figure it will only be driven around 1K miles a year.
When I cruise through Madison, GA (an old town near me that Sherman spared in his "March To The Sea" during the Civil War), I don't feel old at all. I actually feel young and lucky to be cruising in an awesome looking Shelby, and the younger guys wishing they could be behind the wheel! And I don't think I look at all ridiculous driving a muscle car (but maybe I do but choose to ignor it!). I feel like I'm driving a buckle list item that only through busting my *** for years in the workforce did I have the resources to afford and pay cash for.
Cheers!

UGA???? They shouldn't even be ranked in the Top 5 with their powder puff schedule! Maybe they will get challenged in the SEC Championship game - hopefully by my school, LSU, not BAMA!
Sorry to mix sports with car discussions, but could not resist since it's the middle of football season. And having graduated from LSU, I know what being a college football fan is about. No other conference in the USA compares to the SEC in fan support. Wait until the playoffs, then we'll see the "great" Pac 10 teams get smacked in the mouth by real college football teams!
