I'm sure the collective reaction will be the sheer insanity of such a venture when original Mustangs, even some older original or restored Shelbys, Boss 302's, Mach 1's and others all can be had for less.
But for the person with that kind of money to toss around and who wants something very unique, I guess it's OK. It's his/her money. Personally it doesn't float my boat.
If nothing else, just the idea of such a thing is a testament to the legacy, history, desire, and popularity of the Mustang.

If I wanted a '66 again... I'd get a '66 again, and do it up like Muskrat, except with the 2014 5.0 Coyote, T56, and whatever it needs to work with that. I'd also get a hidaway airconditioner system in it, not that under console one, and 2014 seats front and rear this time.
Man. I wanna do it now. I'm all excited for that to actually happen now.
First: Win lottery/invent newest paperclip, whichever comes first.

Buy one... heck, I can probably *MAKE* an original for far less. Just need a body and a door vin plate. I can do most of the work myself, and have.
And, well, I'd also want to, for that money.
So gimme da money and lemme do it already.

For fun I once priced out building a 67 FB using all new parts and a dynacorn shell, crate motor, upgraded everything. It came to about $60-70k in parts for an all out race ready streetable car. After labor hours, I can see where they could get $120k from.
If I wanted to go that route though, I'd get a donor car and cut my parts bill immensely.

A Man Just Needs Some....
It's just a restomod. It's also a 1st gen which you can't give away unless it's a fastback. I don't see these guys selling many of these. When they start building 69's or 70's, they might stand a chance. 1st gen camaros would have been a better selling platform.
