HELP!!
I have a 2014 Mustang GT that once I drive it for any length and shut it off it won’t start back, it doesn’t even try! Has anyone had that issue and do you believe it could be a bad temp sensor?
I had a Charging code but changed the battery (it needed one anyway) and while it’s running it’s charging at 14.2 volts so I do not believe there is an issue there. |
A couple questions, how many miles on the car, and will it start after it cools down?
Now, I'm going to make a big old "SWAG" (scientific wild ast guess) here. Could it be the starter? I had one on my old Chevy that would get hot from the exhaust, and it would barely turn over until it cooled off. Just something to think about. Good luck. |
I will go one more step than Jim, is it turning over and not starting or just sitting there clicking?
If it is not turning over it could possibly the Fuel Pump or Starter relay also since both are in the fuse box under the hood, 41 is the fuel pump and 52 is the starter. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/themust...65d075b9f5.jpg G8VA Relay on Fuel Pump https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/themust...f68991652b.gif Full ISO on the Starter |
Mine did that at about 4 1/2 years old. Everything was fine, drove to work. After work when ready to return home it was deader than a door nail. Jumped it to get home. After that I was unable to get it to hold a charge.
Replaced battery and has been fine since. |
