Gt 500 info
 

I am starting to look into 07 to 14 gt500s and would like to know how many different types there are? Base vs premium I guess. Any info would be great.

I am not so familiar with the 07-12, but for 2013-2014 there is really only one model. Here is what I know of the 13-14 models.

You will see a split between those with the SVT Performance Pack and not. The Performance Pack is also know as Equip Grp 821A, This is an important upgrade for handling and more. It includes these items:

• Torsen differential
• Snowflake like pattern Forged Aluminum Wheels (19x9.5 Front & 20x9.5 rear)
  • All 13/14 GT500s have Forged Aluminum Wheels, same size, others have a 10 spoke pattern.
• SVT engineered Bilstein cockpit adjustable dampers
• Unique rear springs
• Unique rear shocks
• Unique instrument cluster
• Unique gear shift knob (One without the stripes)

Another important option is the SVT Track Package. Some say it is only important if tracking the car, but I feel cooling is always a good option on High Performance cars. It contain these items:

• External engine oil cooler
• Transmission cooler in integral pump
• Differential cooler

A few of my personal preferences are:

• White striped Leather Recaro seats (matching the exterior white stripes)
• Glass roof
• Shaker Pro
• Cover

I would always take an electronics package car, but not required.
About the only thing left is the stripe delete. :grin:
Really all the seats, Recaro or otherwise, are striped, white, blue, red, or Black on Black.
