Grabbing the Dragon by the Tail

Do you normally put others in danger like that? Single lane with opposing traffic with more than a few motorcyclists. Not cool

^not sure I understand the comment.
The Dragon is definitely one of my favorites. I'm heading up there in a couple weeks! |

Everyone that drives The Dragon understands what goes on there...
Nice run, man. I was there earlier this year with the 5.0 and had a blast. I go every year for ZdayZ... can't wait 'til next year! Hopefully you get some good Killboy or US129 shots. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-A...800/Photo1.jpg |

I myself stay in my lane, do not tailgate and did not pass even a bicyclist without knowing it was cool to do and could see well in front and leave at least the state mandated 3 feet of clearance (I really like to leave them the whole lane). |
Bicyclists and I saw a guy walking on your side, but I guess you know exactly when and where it might break loose on you. Hey, you're not going to kill me so go ahead.
|
a. there shouldn't be anyone walking on the Dragon, it'd be completely pointless, as there's no where for them to go.
b. as long as you can see it's safe, I dont have a problem with being briefly in the other lane. I do have a problem with big SUV's (and formerly Semi's, though they're illegal now) coming around blind corners not paying one damned bit of attention. also, the motorcyclists present far more danger to themselves and other cars than the cars present to them. Upon speaking with a policeman that works that area, and had for several years, they've caught cars at a maximum of 45-50 (which is hauling some serious *** up there, trust me), whereas they've caught many bikes well over 50, and some even up to 90. The tree at the motorcycle resort with all the broken parts of bikes on it wasn't manufactured by some artist, those are real parts from real accidents. |
Oh how I miss the dragon. I really need to get back up there

Nice run Ken :salute:
Did you notice a big improvement with your new springs, Koni's and tires? |

just see this post. I can't see the road but I can see the tach. from the position of the needle, I can image how much fun the ride was. Very nice.
Congrats on your new ride too. (a little late though...) |
