Ford's already announced a hybrid Mustang for 2020.
How is this thread bringing anything new?
And yes, I'm fine with it.
As long as they'll still offer at least one V8 version for us performance freaks, I'd love to see Ford start offering an AWD Mustang too.
It will only increase the car's appeal and sales, especially in Northern states, where sport-car buyers may currently want a Mustang but the thought of driving it in the snow ends up making them buy an AWD Charger/Challenger or an import of some kind.
Bring on the diversity!

The only issue is that it will not sound like a Mustang.

Yes, Ford wanted the 1989 Probe to be the new Mustang. They wisely caved and kept producing the front-engined, rear wheel drive Mustang. However, since all of the work was finished, they went ahead and labeled the new car the Probe. I had a 1990 Probe GT. 2.2L with turbo. Fast car for its time.

I'm sure electric vehicles are in everyone's future. The mustangs we drive today will be in high demand by car enthusiast of the next few generations. Its a shame most of us won't be around to capitalize on it. unless you buy GT or Shelby with all options, don't drive it, put it in storage for your grandchildren.
