engine questions

i've had my 97 for a couple years now and the engine is well over 250k and like any car with that type of mileage stuff is falling apart and breaking on the engine. i was in the junk yard recently and i came across a 97 taurus with a 3.4 v8 in it and was very curious about it being that it was capable of pushing out 235hp which compared to my v6 pushing out 180hp is a better upgrade. would i be able to just swap on over to one of those sho engines with no trouble or would i have to start altering my engine bay? would i need the on board computer for the sho too or would my stock one be good enough to run it? would my tranny be able to just bolt on or would i need another tranny( my trans is also manual)? any help would be appreciated

i doubt anyone on here has done such a swap .. the junkyard should be able to tell you if it can be done .. they should have parts interchange books ..
