What real world average drivers are running in a bone stock GT350 at the drag strip. Stock tires!

I'm going to have my hands full then!
My GM where I work challenged me to a race against his GT350!
Twice a year we go out to sac raceway and race!
Well I run between 12.5-12.6 so it should be a close race!

Good luck! Hope the gods are with you on that day. Update us on the results. Be interesting how our s197 cars stack up against the king of the S550s.

Good luck and looking forward to the results!
P.S. What RPM do you typically launch at? I ask becasue Torsen diffs in our Track Pack cars are awesome for the road course, but not too cut out for drag duty. I'm guessing that unless you have drag radials on the back it shouldn't matter though.

I launch at low rpm and roll into the throttle because I'm on street tires.
About 2,000 rpm with a slow clutch release and slow throttle input.
I was doing 2.05 60 ft times which isn't to bad for street tires.
Next Wednesday I will run head to head, should be close!

I gotta check my time slips but I think I got a 1.9 once, with most of them being 2.0/2.1...on 19" Forgestar CF5s and Michelin Pilot Super Sports. No change to the tire pressures and no burnout, only the auto cross from earlier in the morning to heat them up. Same with me though, slow throttle roll in. My first run at the strip, I spun bad off the line and only ran a 13.0. Everything after that was 12.8 after 12.8, with the 12.7 @117 being my best run. All of those other runs were with SOFT launches. I am constantly perusing craigslist for a pair of 17" Cobra wheels to throw some cheaters on and see what I can do with some actual tires!

I also raced a 2014 GT500 last night.
He had a best pass of 12.54 @ 121 mph
But I smoked him off the line it wasnt till the last 100 ft he caught me.
If we were racing 1/8th mile I would have smoked him.
H.P. is great but if you cant put it down its useless!
And yes I was on street tires too. (all equal)
