Somehow I missed some of these posts...
Thanks... yeah, I need to get a picture of the accessories. That may answer some of your questions.
And it's official, 5.0 Mustang Mag called my dad for the interview. Supposedly it will be in the November issue (released in September).
Thanks... and you're welcome!

I will buy Jack Stands!!!
Wish TR had more of a muscle scene, when I was there it was mostly imports. I stopped looking after I bought my truck, 'cause there's none of those there

I've bought some parts from there, but yeah, I typically think of it as an import-dominated site. For instance, the CRX I saw yesterday that literally had at least 15 degrees of negative camber!

I don't think he'll be in the country this weekend, but we'll see.

The for sale section is a joke too, they want 2 grand minimum for like everything. You'll pay about a thousand for a Honda body with no engine or tranny and a beat out interior

Thread revival!!! I've come to a crossroads. The beast now has 70K miles on it, and I'm ready to do something with it. I was thinking FI, specifically the low boost Edlebrock, but with the mileage on the motor, I'm wondering about long term realiability.
SO, after exploring the costs, it looks like about the same cost to pull the existing 4.6, rebuild with forged internals and do the headwork, induction (N\A that is) or buy and install the new Aluminator 5.0, which has forged internals. From what I can tell and what I've read, the Coyote bolts right up the the 5 speed in my '05, and motor mounts are the same as the 4.6.
Blainestang, can you tell me if this was pretty much a straight bolt in for the New Edge? I saw that you commented the oil pan was modded, but what about the rest?

Although the downside being the more powerful motor will just magnify the SN95/New Edge faults - all related to its inferior suspension and chassis rigidity

Also another plus for the coyote 5.0 is the extra weight off the nose. This engine is lighter than any previous 2v or 4v motor that has gone into a Fox - SN95/New Edge with the 3v 4.6 being the lightest of the bunch (and unfortunately 100 hp down in stock trim).
