Anyone who would put up with that moron "Blue Bear" as long as he did doesn't rank very high in my book.

Very true! I think the legal problems had something to do with coddington selling false titles. There was a thread here somewhere about it.

Yeah, when Boyd does it bad he does it really bad.
State of California vs. Boyd Coddington. It was false titles for "collector cars". Right! The Governator should kick his butt!!

Hot Rods in Hot Water: Boyd Coddington cops plea in title-fraud investigation
BOB GRITZINGER
Published Date: 4/18/05
California hot rod builder Boyd Coddington is the first big name to cop a plea in a wide-ranging title-fraud investigation California prosecutors and Coddington’s own attorney say could involve 70,000 illegally registered vehicles.
Coddington pleaded no contest April 7 in Sacramento County Superior Court to a misdemeanor charge related to submitting counterfeit vehicle titles to the state Department of Motor Vehicles. The star of American Hot Rod on the Discovery Channel paid $3,000 restitution to the DMV and must perform 160 hours of community service in the next year. His community service includes explaining to hot rod enthusiasts how to correctly register their cars.
Authorities say custom car owners use phony, out-of-state titles identifying cars as much older or less expensive than they actually are. The fake titles allow owners to pay lower registration fees and less sales tax, and to escape air pollution regulations.
The Specialty Equipment Market Association, an advocate for hobbyists and hot rod owners, disputes whether the practice is widespread. SEMA is working with California officials to find an equitable solution that allows owners time to properly retitle their cars.

I didn't like him to begin with. He doesn't seem to enjoy the process anymore and Chip still "seems" to.

Boyd painted a car a couple of episodes ago. Seems to be full of hot air though.
I was glad to see the aluminum tub go for so little at Barrett Jackson's auction. That was one ugly ride.

It's funny how everyone here hates Boyd. So do I. I always watched the show and always thought he was a jerk, and about the worse boss in the world. I kinda like to watch it because it makes me actually excited to go into work the next day, and he makes my boss look like a God. Unfortunately, I still watch the show, although it's getting worse every week.

the foose wheels are made by MHT, you can get a dealer listing pretty easily. The foose line ranges in price greatly, the produce cast wheels (cheap) and multi piece deals that are pretty darn expensive.

I have to agree w/ everyone when they say that Boyd is a jerk. Also, I dont really like his show that much anyway. The only person on there that wasnt either miserable or annoying as heck was Charlie and when he got rid of him. Hot Rod came off of my favorites. Chip Foose is the man. Extremly Talanted, and still has the passion for getting in there and working with his hands (which Boyd is the opposite). And I like overhaulin a heck of a lot better than Hot Rod. Just my 2 cents+
