Besides Craigslist, how else have you listed your car?

I'm new to TMS and was wondering what methods you guys use to sell cars. I have my son's Mustang listed on Craigslist, but have not many serious buyers. I will post it in the marketplace on this site after my 3 day wait and my 5 posts.

Thanks,

Sam

I have sold a lot of things on ebay, just never sold a car there. I will give AutoTrader a try first.

Thanks,

Sam

I normally have had a lot of luck selling my cars, and my elderly friends cars, on Autotrader. $45 gets you a decent ad that lasts for weeks. Unfortunately I have struck out on my last two attempts with them but I would still use them again. I don't really like using ebay due to the $125 selling fee (my listing was free) but I sold my old '87 SS Aerocoupe on ebay last winter for top $$$. The key is to use a high 'Buy It Now' price with a 'best offer' attached. That eliminates most of the kiddies from screwing with your listing with fake bids and asking dumb questions. Good luck!
