Summary:
1) Don't force it. If there is one rule that trumps them all, this is it.
2) Clean it. If there's one rule that trumps them all, this is it. Wait...
3) Inspect it. If there's one rule that trumps them all, this one isn't it, I guess, but it's pretty up there, I'd say.
4) Measure it. Which, really, when one gets right down to it, is part of 3 up there, so maybe this should be 3a) instead, but... ok, sure, 4) it is.
5) Test assemble it. Which is really part of 4) up there, which is part of 3), so this should be 3b), ya ask me.
6) Double check it. Ok, now, this is getting out of hand in the splitting of hairs situation. This is part of 3a) and 3), both, so... it's either 3c) or 3aI). Also if there's one rule that trumps them all, this makes it a three way tie.
7) Take your time. Which is part of 1), so this is really 1a). And if there's one rule that trumps them all, this is the one that I say wins hands down. If you don't have time to do it right, then all the other 2 rules don't matter, you're GOING to screw it up.
And we're still short 4 other rules overall, so this article needs work. Someone didn't follow rule 7.
/ow, ok, fine, I'm shufflin' off... geez...
