Yes & Yes!!! A gentleman drove his original black '69 Boss 429 to the American Muscle car show for three years in a row and won the best of show each year. It was sporting years of wear and tear but he bought it to drive it and he was enjoying it!
I have friend that has a Black Jade 69 Boss 9. Got it on his 18th Birthday, his Dad bought the car 3 months before he died and my friend got it from his Mom and Step Dad when he turned 18 in 1978. Don't think he will ever sell it.

I like them all but I am always partial to the high impact colors like the blues, oranges, and greens. Black or white is fine with me too. I had a white GT/CS for many years.
I love the Black Jade...while it's not a Boss 9, I do have a Black Jade 69 Mach 1...But one of my other favorite colors and I'm partial because I have one is Twilight Turquoise on a 65 Fastback...(this is not my car though)

Does the 69 have the goldish color mach stripes? That looks good, saw one on Mecum recently.
I like the twilight turquoise, but I prefer a little darker blue. I know it's blasphemy but I don't like grabber blue at all. My 08 SGT in Vista blue is one of my favorites, that's about the shade that I like. TBH, if Vista blue was available, this new one would be in that color.

Yes, funny how everyone painted those cars red in the 70's and 80's...it's a really cool color especially when redone in base/clear. I like Grabber blue but only on a '70 Boss....the NYPD car I restored looks good because of what it is but generally I don't think Grabber Blue looks good on anything newer. Vista Blue is a nice color....I'm a Blue fan, my old 88 was a custom dark blue and my 87 is the Blue from the old Ranger Splash back in the day. I also love the factory 89 Deep shadow blue....
Paul, I had a friend back in the day that bought a Saleen identical to that one new. Any idea where that one came from in it's past life?
I know it was in Richmond VA owned by a Marine and then he took it to CA and then to Huntsville where my buddy bought it from him. That's all I know about it though...
