Question about New Posts funciton.

Is there any way I can remove a particular area of the forums from the New Posts function?

I would very much like to just not see 'Politics and Religion' in the results. I'll go there if I want to, but... I just don't need to be trying to reply to those things, and I spend too much time trying.

Yes, yes, I know, I should just excercise restraint... but... I get compelled sometimes. This is just a reinforcement technique, kinda like flushing the cigarettes when you're trying to stop, maybe.

I'm sure others would be just as interested in not seeing, oh, Testing, Help, Site Feedback and Suggestions, maybe.

Just curious. Thanks!

Geez Houtex, be an adult. Get off the couch and change the channel. Instead of attempting to inflict your will on everyone else.

Geez, Charlie, be an adult.

Do you *really, honestly* think my meek self would think of forcing people to not see the posts? And did you stop halfway through my post, or did you actually read this part:

I'm sure others would be just as interested in not seeing, oh, Testing, Help, Site Feedback and Suggestions, maybe.
And from that, figure out the meaning behind my post?

But, alas, I guess I'll spell it out, for clarity's sake: I am curious if it could possibly be an option, a list of check marks perhaps in the user CP, for anyone who doesn't want to see a particular area or areas, if they so choose, to check it/them and have it/them not show up in the New Posts function, thereby streamlining the feed of posts that a person might be more interested in partaking.

There. I hope that clears things up 'tween us'n's, Charlie.

If it's not possible, then of course, I will be fine with it. I was just asking.

And yes, Al, I'm all for the Anarchy section.

/Geez, some people are way too sensitive and short tempered in these parts.
//worried now this is gonna be a tennis match... but that's ok, I'm sittin' out after this. Have fun!
///Maybe it ought to be locked pending results... Just in case.

Maybe you need to change the fluid, get a new shifter, and a bracket to get the new post function to work exactly the way you like.

'Like' 7 words or less? So that means 8 or 9 maybe? They're sorta 'like' 7 words...'

Lesse...

Yeah, those 7 words sum it up, I guess.
