My bride and I had a series of the 2.3L Mustangs - a 1985, 1988, and 1990. The '85 was a notch, the other two were hatchbacks like yours. We drove the '90 for 11 years.
Ford geared them so they were still fun to drive day-to-day.
Looking forward learning what your plans are. And welcome aboard!

Welcome aboard... Prior to my previous 2005 GT and current 2006 GT, I was previously owners of 3 Fox Body Mustangs which consisted of 1990 GT, 1992 GT and 1993 SVT Cobra...
I enjoyed each of them and never experienced any negative issues and were easy to work on when doing mod upgrades... Unfortunately, I was not able to keep more than one Mustang, due to having only a one car garage, otherwise, I would've kept the "93" SVT Cobra as a stable mate for my current 2006 GT...
As mentioned above, there are plenty of Fox Body threads in the Fox body subforum section to choose from, so always feel the need to share your experiences and future plans...
