Hello from NORCAL
Hello from NORCAL
My name is Rick and I am a carholic from Northern California. My story starts poorly but I think you'll agree has ended (?) in a great place.
I spent my mis-spent youth searching for the perfect car. Started with a Mercury Capri, traded for a used Pontiac Formula 400, then purchased a brand new brown with a brown landau roof Chevrolet Camaro, and finally a british racing green Fiat 124.
At this point responsiblity called and I spent the next two decades driving company cars or my wife's mini van. After paying for 10 years of college (split between 2 offspring) I finally could resume my hunt for the perfect car.
In 2004 I bought a Mustang SVT Cobra. Who needs pills to restore your testosterone levels. At 6'2" and 250# the Cobra seemed tight and my wife needed both legs to engage the clutch. In 2010, in a panic that horsepower would soon be outlawed, I bought a Mustang GT Vert. Red candy, Nav, automatic, comfort, security...everything you could possibly want in a blvd cruiser. I thought my chase was done.
Then the Coyote came....and word is the 50th Anniversary car will be smaller. On March 20, 2012 my wife caved and I ordered the perfect (?) car. She'll be triple black, GT Premium Vert, 401A (have to half the shifter), 6MT, Comfort, Security, and of course Brembo and Shaker Pro.
Will this be the perfect car. Only time will tell.
