My name is Rick. I have a 2011 with a 3.7L v6. Actually, one of the reasons I joined this site is to find the best way to clean the engine. On my '96 F-150 it's a breeze but I've been leery of jumping right into cleaning this one.

Externally? I like to use 303 aerospace. Spray it liberally over the entire engine bay and scrub with a soft, long bristled brush. Rinse off with a low pressure water stream and towel dry the more accessible areas. Follow up with an additional cleaning of the more open areas as needed. I usually end up doing all the plastic bits again after the initial wash.
