That's the topic you're lookin' for. Don't let it scare ya away, just stuff, most of which are easily dealt with. Hope that helps!

My previous Mustang was an '06 GT convertible with the manual gearbox. These were the last ones than came with the 3.55 rear gears standard. Bought it new and drove it over 200,000 miles. Overall, she was a great car; I enjoyed it thoroughly. I decided to let her go when I knew the timing chain tensioner issue was beginning to rear it's head. But she still had the original clutch, and ran great.

As posted in the thread link attachment, the most common problem with the 2005-early 2008 GT models were the dreaded 2-piece design spark plugs.. Ford finally revised the 3v head design and spark plugs to standard 12mm one-piece design in mid November 2007.. In addition to applying high-temp nickel anti-seize to the ground electrode shields in order to prevent spark plug separation, there are also aftermarket one-piece design spark plug options from Accel, Brisk Racing, NGK and Champion.. Therefore, you may also want to consider the aftermarket one-piece design spark plugs as a possible alternative as well?

Meanwhile, hope this helps provide some useful info and also welcome aboard.
