Im new to this forum and just bought a new Mustang Roush Stage 3 and I don't know why it took me so long to finally get a stang. I love this car and am always open to suggestions on how to make it run better or little tricks to make it out run the competition. :metal:

The reason I went with the mustang is I had a sand rail with a 4.6 out of a cobra with twin turbos, she made 950hp at the flywheel and weighed 2,000 lbs and would scream. It was a fun toy to have but it wasn't street legal and every time it would break it was very expensive to fix due to all the parts being custom made, **** near had to have a machine shop in house to make your own parts. I still haven't been able to replace the rush of going 100mph with the wheels 10 ft off the ground and having to look through the floor to see where you're going. Im hoping road racing this thing will replace that rush and I can drive the car on the weekends.

Hi, welcome.

Very sick ride. I love those wheels. Im eventually doing blue wheels on mine to tie in stripes. It is always nice to see something fresh!

Ive only seen the red rims online browsing around, and didn't see any on a Stang. I also haven't seen anything close to it around where I live or any places I have been, but I give it six months and I'll see them everywhere.

Sweet ride man, love the color coordination. That sand rail was a badass machine as well, sad to see it go, I am sure you miss it.

Nice Roush, nice color choice, is that the 675 ( crank ) hp version ?
Do you get a dyno sheet with the build ? .....( SA doesn't provide one on the Super Snakes )
Good luck with the new ride.

Its the 665hp 505tq, but not for long. I have a few ideas on what I want done to this bad boy. It will mostly be for track racing not drag strip, I will do build threads as the work is done on the car but for right now i have a 59 Chevy Apache that Im dropping a 600hp LS3 into right now and its way over budget. I just hope my kids are great athletes or smart enough to get a academic scholarship cause I'm blowing through their college fund. LOL

Welcome! Very nice. Now I know what your rig looks like. Very unique color combo, sharp. But, you are right, when someone sees it and likes it you will get a copy...

Your Sand Rail looks pretty wild. Bet that puts you stomach in your throat.

Offroading is my #1 obsession but it is a very expensive sport to stay competitive in. Anytime something broke on the sand rail it cost 1 to 10k to fix it, and the way I drove it something was always breaking. After having to spend 15k on a new tranny I decided it was time to get into a new sport. I will look for some video of it so you can see it in action

Chunk Deuce Aug 26, 2013 05:09 PM

Here is a old video of my rail, it comes on at .45 and 1.38 sec

shaneyusa Aug 27, 2013 07:30 PM

Like the video. You guys have some serious stones to make those babies literally fly. I can see that could be a very expensive sport, car parts and maybe some serious hospital visits? Thanks for sharing, fun to watch!

Ive been lucky enough to not end up in the hospital but Ive had some buddies not as lucky as me. Im sure when I get into the road racing I will find out that its a expensive sport also.

Love those red rims and the whole car. Never seen one like it.

Hydro1 Aug 28, 2013 09:37 PM

looking sharp. We go to Glamis all the time. I don't have a rail, just quads. Beautiful rail BTW, good to see a Ford powered one. Too many GM powered cars out there. I've seen Sand Cars Unlimited running a EcoBoost rail also.
