02 mustang 3.8L v6 power steering pump
I put a new power steering pump on my wife 02 mustang v6 and it's still whining when you turn the wheel.... it's not as bad as it was before and it's holding fluid now but it still whining some... does anyone know why it's still doing this? It was a brand new pump from advance auto....

Dang, man, wait a day before you say 'nevermind', I wanted to answer, 'cause I knew this! Maannn... *toes ground in 'shucks' mode and wanders off...*
/Glad it's workin' for ya, that's the main thing, right? Right!
//Oh, alright, answerin' anyway... air. Bubbles. Ford Power Steering Pump Syndrome is a real thing. But mostly air. I also recommend throwing some of that Lucas Power Steering stuff in that thing if you get the opportunity. Turkey baster out some of the fluid in the reservoir, then pour that stuff in. Maybe 1/4 bottle's worth or so. It'll help keep things nice. For what my bit of experience with the stuff in my situation is worth.
