Yeah,....were getting hammered out there today.
I wasn't going to go to work, but it wasn't bad this morning. Sent a text to my boss this morning at 5:30am and he said he's going in and will open up for me. There was only 6 of us there today. The owner was one of them.
Worked 6:30am to 10:30am and got paid for the full day. Pretty awesome.
Some parts of the road are great, some are just horrible. Really horrible.
The roads were empty today as alot of people stayed home.

I thought snow in New England was a cash crop, with all the winter sports. The guys plowing parking lots and driveways must be making a killing. I still miss the snow..

We got 28 inches here and now another storm is rolling in for Tuesday! Too soon to tell what it will do, but hopefully it's a miss!

Yeah we got about 24-26" (depending on who's reporting), just heard about that Tuesday 5-8" storm, I'm guessing by the time it gets here it will be 15-18", the way they're been going lately.
I'm already quite sick of snow-blowing and shoveling, I wanna drive my Mustang!

It's not that much snow. About 18 inches of snow total where I am. It's melting at a good rate. Not too fast and all at once.

Wow,...first time I've ever seen a grader do that.
Does that happen a lot up there?

Only with heavy snow;
usually they do the residential streets once a year, i guess.
All that happens is spreading it out;
there's still a lot;
they don't really remove anything with a grader.
the city had 40 machines of theirs & private companies going this last week,
this is the most i can remember,
now it's all icy, after melting a bit & refreezing.

as long as it doesn't flood,
it's still better than a hurricane or fires or everything we could get!!!

I've never seen a grader on a paved road. Just gravel roads around here.

We get the graders too. Usually because we got more snow than normal. The plows are mainly used by ITD (Idaho Transportation Dept) The Cities and Counties do not always have snow plows, so when it is too deep or rutted or on the roads for a long time, the graders hit the streets. Ours usually melts off after a day or two, but not always. For example last year... two full months with very little melting.

Very Glad this year was mild for us!

Waiting for possible tornadoes and large hail. About that time of year again.
