on a lot of episodes you will see a gold 67 or 8 mustang coupe with a white vinal top .. i think i read somewhere that that was Pete Malloys personal car he drove to various sights where scenes were shot .. iv`e seen Shelbys , MAch 1`s and even a BOSS429 on an episode before .. a street racing show had a 65 GTO blowing road runner away ..

Fox and Fox sports 1. Truck race was a poop show last night, they're trying to get the Xfinity race in early today before the rain.

 

The new Mustang racecar doesn't look anywhere near as good as the last one. They don't seem to have the speed together like they did either.

 

Yep new body style and they're going to have some growing pains. Joey Logano was the quickest with the pole so who knows. It seems the new body style doesn't draft very well either. Might be a down year again for FORD.

 

And NASCAR will do everything they can to make it happen, like every year. You know they're fuming that they won the last 2 championships.

NHRA drag racing starts this weekend .. fine for any of you who care about top fuel and funny car stuff but i dont .. pro stock has 14 entries in a 16 car field ,, pro mod has 34 cars .. pro stock should just go away .. pro mod allows so many dif combinations ,, unlimited cubes with nos assisted engines which the BOSS 429 is most suited for .. i think 521 cubes with HEMI blown something .. i`m not sure about the cube limit on turbo or pro charged engines but variety is the spice of life ,,

 

I'm with you Willie for the most part. I do enjoy watching the fuel cars, but mainly from personal experience being around them when they cut loose, TV just can't explain to people what actually happens when you're standing there.

Same on pro stock with you. I never could get into modern pro stock. I loved it back in the Bob Glidden days and such.

I'm more into the thing I feel killed nhra, no prep racing. Run what you brung, and you figure out how to get it down the track

Ever seen the old crash video of him at Englishtown I think it was? Tore the hood and stuff off and first thing he did was jump out, take his jacket off and start covering up the intake so people couldn't see it . That's the good ol days of pro stock.

 

I saw him run several times up here at Maple Grove PA which is a yearly big boy stop.
