I have a question...

What's the purpose of the "Bump" posts?

I see lots of ....



Is it just to get the post numbers up?

I haven't run into this in forums before so fill me in...

some times people bump the thread up because they have not recieved the answer to their question. I see it alot in the for sale forums. When their add drops to low on the page they bump it back up to the top of the page for more buyers to see.

Or to bring a topic back to the top that has no new info in it, but people want it to be brought back onto the 1st page
