Road rage against me. Need to vent.

Merging onto the highway I was up to speed with everyone else. Lady in an Audi was trying to get off and there was a tundra behind her. She kept staying next to me and I was running out of room so I snuck in between them. Tundra shoots around me on the left (two land highway) and I stay in the right lane. He pulls in front of me and slams on his brakes (we were both doing about 65). Then takes off in front of me. I eventually catch up to him as he's merging off the highway and just as I go to pass him he intentionally pulls into my lane trying to get me to hit him (he was doing 30 and I was doing 60 coming up to him). Then proceeds to get off the highway.

Now granted me sneaking between him and the dumb Audi may have been close. He had plenty of room to move over a lane when I was merging and running out of room. Then intentionally trying to get me to read end him? What a dick

I guess it all would have been my fault though.

Perfect advice. I used to sweat all kind of things in my younger days. I wish I could just get over my desire to lash out against my vindictive ex. It's funny how nothing bothers me anymore except when it relates to my kid. I'm trying everyday.

On my way to the beach today I was trying to merge and this lady in an Audi wouldn't move over! There was no one around us and she easily could have moved over on her own will but NOOOO!!! So I just started to pull out and she could have either hit me or move over! She moved over!!! Inconsiderate beeatch!!!

I'm 23. But clearly this guy hasn't learned with age. He was easily in his 50s and had very opportunity to move over So I could get in. Instead he chose to intentionally try to get me to rear end him when he got pissed.

Plus I was driving my dads Volt. So the pickup isn't what the mustang is.

To make matters worse my ex is with this mouthy little guy that goes out of his way to push my buttons every time I pick up my daughter. I could seriously crush him with one arm but that's exactly what they want. (An incident)

He drives a white Prius btw!

He taunts and puffs out his chest every time like clockwork. Now that's a hard situation to not get heated over. I have to be polite, civil, and calm and let it roll off my back. Easier said then done.

I was too distracted by having to do a quick lane change and braking at 60mph while he pulled in front of me doing 30 to take his plate. Had I gotten it I would have called my local police and told them I think I found a drunk driver.

You realize that as the driver on the highway she has the right of way? You as the one entering have to adjust for traffic on the road - even if it is just one car. If she had hit you the ticket would have been yours.

Common courtesy though is to shift lanes to allow room - not required but what most if us do in the situation you described.

Oh yeah definitely would have been my fault but I knew she wasn't gonna wrinkle up her Audi! :-)

Clearly this guy was just butt hurt to begin with and didn't give me any room when he could have easily moved over into the left lane.

My fault, yes. But he took it personally for some reason.

LOVE THIS!!

Let me see if I have this right. She's driving down the road minding her own business. You come off a side street and try to merge into the lane where she is already at.

So, at this point she has the right of way and the law REQUIRES THAT YOU YEILD TO HER. Rather than obeying the law you instead violated the law and used your vehicle as a weapon to force her over, making you a criminal.

And because of that you actually think she was the one being a "beeatch"? Guess what, YOU were the one being the beeatch.

Are you aware that what you did is considered assault with a deadly weapon and punishable by up to 5 years in prison? If you're merging, YOU YEILD. If you use your car to attack or intimidate someone because you don't want to yeild, that is a crime. Not a ticket, a felony.

Well just so YOU understand something. In the state of NJ if you don't move over the cars merging WILL be occupying your lane! :-)

I would fallow the guy all the way to his house, then stop on his street sitting there watching his house for like 30 min. I bet it would make him little angry/scared/paranoid at that point.

*Note to self- great idea, do this if someone road rages me.

not a good idea.. That could be considered harassment. Also they could use that as a defenses to pull a gun on you and put a clip into your face.
