I took my Corvair to its first show since moving to Oklahoma. The first three pics are the car that took first, followed by my second place in class - not bad for a 10 year old restoration going up against a newly restored car.

Do you have a pic of the back of your car with the hood closed? I like the silver panel on the back; that's the look I'm going for with my silver trunk panel and tail light surrounds.

 

Thanks! Here's a rear shot with hood down. Lower model Corvairs had the rear area painted body color, while the 1965-66 Corsa models had the silver treatment. Your rear silver reminded me of my Corvair and other cars from the 60's that had the same treatment.

dont try this at home .. now that the disclaimer is out of the way .. i have for a couple of years heated my home with the torpedo style kerosene heater .. i only run my regular heat at nite and it just keeps the house barely above 65 degrees .. that`s ok when i,m in a heated bed but a little to brisk to sit around watching Tv all day .. i run this thing for 5 minutes each morning and my house zooms up to about 78 degrees and holds it most of the day .. the smell is not near as bad as one would think .. it is not even as bad as burning a regular kerosene heater all day and still freezing ..

 

why cant i find posts of mine more than two years old ? .. i wanted to quote a post from 2013 or 14 that i have backslidden on ... that crazy ***** that lived with me for a few months with a new baby has lived with me for a few more months this year and cost me many more thousands of dollars and is the reason i sold all my cars and equipment ... god **** a bunch of women ... cept for you gravy ,,, HA !!!

 

for most of my life i have been shaving with the 99 cent BIC disposable razors and living with almost bleeding to death after each use .. well i finally broke down and bought one of those expensive 5 blade ProGlide shavers from Gilette and it is incredible .. 17 bucks worth of incredible .. one head lasts for a week easily and does the best job i have ever seen .. anywho the last time my " GF" left me last week she took that razor with her .. so i go get another one .. a few days later "GF" is back and is in the shower using my new razor .. i hear a buzzing sound and see a light glowing on the razor ..the thing has a vibrating head on it .. i did not know that ..well the same day she`s leaving me again and i make sure as she is grabbing all her stuff from the bathroom that i run in and get that razor ..makes her even more madder ...i still dont have a job .. unemployment has ran out and i am running out of money .. 2018 may be a bad year ...
