i am quite depressed .. i went to my 50 year high school reunion last nite with hopes of seeing two people i was fond of in those days .. one a cripple girl who i was always nice and helpful to cause i grew up with a cripple sister .. another a butch girl who drove a 67 GT 390 stang and could fix anything on it she needed to .. she helped me adjust the shift linkage on my 64 4 speed galixie .. the cripple girl had just passed away two weeks earlier and the other girl was in a nursing home . only one person actually looked better now than 50 years ago .. i left very early and was in a hurry to get home and got pulled over by a TENN Trooper .. luckily he did not look in my back floorboard and see my beer cooler and he let me off ..

wow, it actually is "YOU'RE gonna need a bigger boat" .... all these years, I always thought it was "WE'RE gonna need a bigger boat"
definitely right up there with "I love the smell of napalm in the morning .... smells like victory" (I wonder if I got that one wrong too?)

advice from HOSS the arborist .. if you plan on planting some trees on your property be sure and look at the trees you want as adults .. i made the mistake of not doing that and have overpopulated my 1 acre with trees ,, you need to see what a full grown adult tree looks like and plant accordingly .. most trees will spread as high as they will grow .. there are some exceptions but i`m not aware of them .. i planted over 40 trees on my i acre 40 years ago ( pause ,, i1m having a hail storm .. It`s cool ) .. and some of them are too close to each other .. they are stifling each others growth .. i have 85 % shade in the summertime .. as was stated in 1804 by Lewis and Clark on their westward expedition . .. they said a squirrel can walk from the atlantic ocean to the mississippi river and never touch the ground .. a squirrel can traverse my full acre and never touch the ground ..

We are planting trees on our property as well and I'm being very careful as to how big they get. I removed 37 trees (from former owner) by hand at my first home and vowed to never put myself in that position again. Everything is dwarf and slow growing including our bushes. I'm getting too old to be out trimming and pruning every year!
