This has really shaken me, 11,500 dead........ (no smiley can put it right)
9.0 earthquake in SE Asia |
I saw this this afternoon..really sad. My thoughts go out to the country.
|
Thats terrible. My thoughts and prayers for all the families.
|
seen it on T.V. Thats terrible. prayers go out to the country and families.
|
the earthquake was so severe that it disrupted earth's rotation. that is incredible
|
disrupted the earths rotation???? So is it really 11:12 where I am sitting?
|
23,000 and still counting. What a tradegy.
|
The death toll has risen to 50,000
|
We were talking today.
If this happened off of the East or West coasts of the U.S., would the death toll be that high? Are we prepared for somehing like that? |
BTW...they are definitely in our thoughts and prayers.
|
their wouldnt be as many dead if it happened in the U.S. because
their was almost no way to warn those in danger of the tsunami's in Asia the earthquakes werent the main cause of the fatalities, it was the tsunamis. some were as fast as 500 mph. there would be fatalities in the U.S. but not close to the 55,000 now reported fatalities |
I heard 67,000 now. And they are saying that they wouldn't be surprised if it ran over 100k. Sad.
|
What a Tragedy. It just keeps getting worse and worse.
|
It seems like its going to get worse. With all the dead, there is almost certainly going to be disease spreading. :(
Also, there are some pretty big aftershocks. |
its going to be much higher before this is over with. Its a very humbling feeling just reading about it. Prayers go out to all.

geez like there hasnt been enough happen already, they gotta continue the war :(

I think we as the United States should send help, we are so quik to police the world, we should help the same way.
Get that friggen Bush guy on the phone..I got an idea. |

Get that friggen Bush guy on the phone..I got an idea. imo, i dont think we have done enough... the U.S. usually doesnt help the rest of the world that much anyways, so its no surprise. Out of the world's richest countries the u.s. is last in donating: at 0.14 percent donated of its gross national income. oh well, i just hope this time the u.s. can counter their "stingyness" and be their to help the casualties from rising |
Yeah I agree....I think we should send more help too.
