Been a very rough time for the people on Maui, especially West Maui! It is a long ways from over. The healing is going to take years. My heart goes out to the people that live there. I have spent probably 3 years of my life (if I accumulate my time spent on the island over the years), in Maui. I love Maui, it is like going home when I return. It is very sad what has happened there and a my heart and prayers go out to the locals that have to live with the loss and remnants of this disaster. Wife and I had a trip planned for this fall, but with all that is going on I do not want to take away from the grieving and reconstruction. So I will stay away for a while and let them heal. It feels terrible to go over and enjoy the island at their expense. Some day, but not now.

Never been there but my wife has and she said it's beautiful. Yes our prayers also go out to all those involved in this horrific catastrophe.

 

Started with a few drawers that would open themselves almost daily. That is what got us thinking. Things will move by themslves. Mostly the TV remote will throw itself onto the floor but other things have moved as well right in front of us. Unexplained noises. Doors opening and or closing on their own. Both of us have been scratched. That should be enough for a few laughs for everyone for now. But its true. I know a lot of people do not believe until something happens to them.... and or just do not believe.

shaneyusa wonderful photos! We visited Lahaina back in 1991 and drove around much of Maui in our rental. Such a historic whaling port back in the day. I enjoyed the rich history it offered. It's all very sad and not likely to be re-built as it was. It never can be.

 

We have been here a few years and the hoouse was built in the mid 1980's. I did some googling around and didn't find anything about any deaths in this house. So I am not sure. Our last house we built new and we had some activity there so I don't think it matteres if they passed away here or not.

As For Me I Had a 70 1/2 Z-28 Back in the Day and The Grille with Very Minor Damage I replaced Has Haunted me To this Day! 35+ Years On! Just Won't Go Away! Pack it Away Somewhere and it Hides For Years only to Return!
