My cousin got fancy one year and was trying to be all domestic. I had to run up to the corner market and get the jellied stuff.

I remember how disappointed I was the first time my grandma brought that homemade cranberry "sauce" to Thanksgiving dinner. I don't think I've ever come so close to punching an old lady in the face as I did that day.
Although the time I mistook her cooked beets for cinnamon apples is a real close second.

My grandma used to always bring the lime Jello mold with chunks of God knows what in it.
I mean we're not talking pineapple chunks or anything like that. I mean like jolly ranchers or pecans or whatever she could find laying around the house.

Which is good, because I like it when people like what I make.
/The Taco Dip is gonna soooo rawk too. THAT is kickin' everyone else's dishes in the behind parts... including my dressin'... which I have a hard time believing, honestly, it's just too simple.

Oh, and I still am craving this, but only about 15 hours to go or so...
My sage dressing, my taco dip, my mom's potato salad, my bro's deviled eggs, my sis-in-law's macandcheese, my sis-in-law's mom's cranberry crunch and sweet potato casserole, anything else that's likely to be there, and the oysters from the turkey as my reward for carving it.
