Today.....
I went to get my kid a clarinet, and came home with a saxophone for me.

NOW! WTF Do I do with it? I thought I would be set the second I assembled it.

I got it now- smooth sailing. All I had to do is learn notes
My goal is to play the Deacon Blues Sax solo within a month.

Haha, yeah learn the beginning sax solo from "Us and Them" on Dark Side... always makes me emotionally satisfied.

gw186... What kinda guitar is it? I always have room for a seventh guitar.

I am OVERLY determined now...I gotta do it because I was told I couldn't. Right. If I can learn where the notes on it are(which I have spent the day doing), I got it covered. Its only an Alto-I want a tenor but started small. Besides, the side of town I had to travel to to get it makes me NOT want to go back and return it.

In this order By Christmas I will know:

FM sax solo
Deacon Blues Sax Solo
#41 DMB
And I will learn to play floyd. Watch me. I HAVE to do it.

My kids boring clarinet is a breeze to play- shes had it 24 hours and has it down.Unfortunately so do I.

#41 is a great song!

I like #34's sax a little better, though... very relaxing.

I bought this one

And so far, I have about 4 of the notes down. I got the sax solo for Deacon Blues though-so when I learn I can take that one off the to do list.

Wink

I HAVE TO SHARE!!!!!!

Tonight was official band tryouts-

My kid was the only one in the entire band who got to try out the Tenor Sax- SHE NAILED IT!!!!!!!! So She has THE!! Tenor sax in the band. The Alto slots were filled, all they had was clarinet and (ugh) trumpet left. SHE GOT SAX! AND THE COOL ONE TOO! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!! :worship: :worship: :worship:

That boring clarinet is going to clarinet hades first thing in the AM. Big Bill is coming home with me. We will BOTH be playing Steely dan, DMB and Pink Floyd by Christmas.

NO need for me, I am still on stupid stuff like London Bridge.
I fear shes going to shame me. A tenor Sax- Supercool! To be one of one instead of one of many is even better.

My son is getting a guitar. I guarantee my husband will have him playing Stairway asap too. Boys amuse me with their bike tricks skateboards and guitars.

Tenor sax kicks.

I don't know what fool said to learn on alto. Tenor is SOOOOOOO much easier to play. I have been fooling with my kids since I got it home this morning.
