Very cool idea!
To be honest I was hoping to avoid the military at all costs with Vietnam still alive and well when I was 18. We had the draft lottery back then and I was lucky to get a high number. I think the cutoff was 150 or so and I was in the high 200's. Whew!! Off I went to college and then to 25 years in law enforcement.
When I meet Vietnam vets and talk to my car buddy who was a photographer in Vietnam, I can't ask enough questions about their experiences there. My photographer friend can't talk about things he saw. He almost gets ill.
