ZR1's LS9 Leaked shots
From over at Z28... who got it from another site:

Just as a sidenote on the Saleen comments...some dingleberry makes this comment... in this thread:

Yet I say "Will you say the same thing about the LS9?"
Its a beast.
Yeah and the 5.4 4v is internally capable of 600hp warrantied if it wants to. Talking out both sides of their mouth maybe?
They trash the fact that Ford uses SCharged engines, yet praise GM when they come out with one.
hahahah

really do think that he is just ****ed because the camaro is coming back and it will yet again, run the streets over the mustang. and the only way for will be able to stop it is to have saleen throw a blower on their sweet little 4.6 liter v8. HEY FORD ,HOW BOUT YOU TRY TO MAKE YOUR OWN POWER, AND HERES AN IDEA ,LETS MAKE IT N/A!!

no because they are acheiving 600+ hp out of that motor. ford puts a blower on a 4.6 and they get about 400. my point is gm acheived 430+ hp with the 6.2 and thats more than ford got with the blown 4.6 version. chevy wants to put on a blower....more power to them because i believe they deserve it to be able to put a s/c on.fords only way to get power close to the lsX motors it to have a s/c

Sounds like the GT500 fighter won't be out the first year.
And from what I've heard IF the 6.2 S/C is going to be in that car, it'll probably be the camparison of the GT500/Ford GT
Same engine displacement/setup, but not the same parts.
Essentially 2 different engines.

Its like the saleens supercharger shroud.. metal intake with inverted supercharger.
Sounds like its a TVS design as well... cool if true

So the bowtie boys can't whine (bad pun intended) about Ford "cheating" with SC'ed engines now, can they? What kind of excuses will they come up with next should Ford unveil something in the near-future - (cough cough possible Twinforce V8)?

Check the mirror first it might be there . Last mullet head I saw was driving an 05GT.
Good question Moose. Historically Camaros haven't, only the vettes recieved the covers I guess to make the vette guys feel theirs is different. But as of late, even Cobalts have been getting covers. So I dont know.
If it does go into the Camaro it would probably be after the first year of course but the vert does too so they should make it about the same time. That's another reason for me to wait until the vert. Some rags publis the vert in spring but we have it from a higher athourity that it will be a year after the 09 debut. Gives me a whole 2 years to get my current vehicles paid off so if it does command GT500 prices It wont matter to me.

Should be none. If a twin turbo V6 makes only 100 HP more than GM's 300 HP NA DI V6 then I would garner that a twinforce v8 would be in the same ballpark as the LS9. It makes more financial sense to keep just one supercharger on the v8's I'm sure than to TT one in an OEM application.

It's not necessarily the horsepower difference (on a conservative tune no less) but the torque and where the power is made.
The potential is going to be awsome.
I hope GM thought the same when they designed the LS9, so the GM guys can have fun with cranking the boost too.
