Long story short, GM jacked up the price of the V8 while discounting the price of the V6 to make it a more attractive offering. Unfortunately the V8 car has snagged 80% of total Camaro sales in the last 10 months (80k+ units) leaving the V6 in the dust. |
that's because mostly enthusiasts/camaro faithful have bought this car. Once that pool runs dry.....look out!

Yeah, it doesn't bode well, especially when your volume car is a loss-leader.
