Just as I was hoping Rice would go the way of the custom van.
but there is hope,
considering there are so many RWD cars coming back in the next few years, a lot of the next generation of kids will get some nice hand-me downs as hot rod material. This could fight the rice...
I could also see a rice backlash, kinda like disco sucks. There are lots of rice-bashing webistes out already

Yeah, I have been seeing alot of the rice crowd migrating toward older cars. I think it all stems from the "ride with funkmaster flex" thing. Unfourtunately, they are ricing out alot of nice cars. Kinda wish they would stick to the hondas now....

ugh, nasty. I see the import tuner trend already changing up. It's becoming so popular it's not as cool, some import folks are getting older and getting different styles. There are the new people getting licenses to make up for the ones going away but I think (after reading a couple of import mags) it's slowing down. I keep hearing about younger kids getting back into older muscle cars but I don't really see it.

That Mustang looks like a semi ran it over. Wow. That's just embarrassing.
My fiance saw this "thing" on the road last week. I don't know how to descibe it but...It had a truck body with a classic mustang front end and a mustang bumper, with the words Mustang across the back. When he told me and I was shocked and sickened at the same time. I'm just glad I didn't see it on the road. I would have gotten road rage.

I don't think the Rice thing will end ever...at least until they lower insurance cost. Which they won't...
The other option is to make extremely cheap V8's. Which I would go for. B)

Nah, I don't even think it has a thing to do with insurance. My buddy Kyle had a 2002 RSX, and his insurance was $330 a month!! He asked about the pricing on a 1996 Impala SS, and it was $50/month less!

I don't see this trend going away. Carrol Shelby was on "Funkmaster Flex" last weekend and he said he loves this ricer trend. He said the best part of it is the kids taking these small motors and tweeking out high horsepower by themselves and not paying someone to do it thus making them great mechanics. I noticed that he didn't say that he liked the cars though.
I personally think they should stay away from the 'Stang and mess with the Camaro.

Anyways, Shelby is right about all of it. Most of us may not like this particular emerging automotive sector, but it means kids are getting under their hoods and tinkering around and learning the mechanical ropes, so to speak.
