I guess the only way Smart can appeal to US buyers is to offer an SUV. I wonder what kind of mileage it gets, and if it will fit in a compact parking stall. LOL.

I'm sure that its not the most stable vehicle going into turns too fast.

I thinking the motorcycle engines Smart uses aren't doing much for torque with that bad boy.

you know... i think Smart Cars are... well getting smarter!

this vehicle is PERFECT for the modern market. it has a very specific niche* and it looks like it does it quite well.

The engine and transmission were adopted from the Unimog. The OM 352, a six-cylinder diesel engine with a capacity of 5,675 cc, was given a prominent and clearly visible position on the front axle. It delivers 84 bhp
If a 5.7L diesel engine is only putting out 84hp, I can imagine the torque figures are in the 500's

I love the cranking handle in the rear wheelarch, makes it look like a clockwork toy!
