How much are you planing to spent?
You could get Mustang for under $20,000, but you won't get 350Z or 300ZX for under $30,000.
My vote is Supra (I'm guessing its Twin Turbo).

Well Zach, since you've always dreamed of a 93 Cobra, I would say go with your dream. Second would be the RX-7 or STi. Just please don't buy the supra, god those things are ugly
I really think if you are patient enough you can find your Cobra, it will just take time. And I really don't think you'll be happy settling for second best. I think you would end up kicking yourself so I say stay on track, theres one out there for you!

You also gotta consider driveability. Is this going to be a daily driver? Because if it is, do you really wanna be putting a lot of miles on your dream car? Also if it's a daily driver consider insurance/gas costs and how comfortable it is. How about getting a used Mustang, and when you have enough saved, pick up the 93 Cobra as a Weekend Cruiser/Garage Queen.

yea, I will be drivin all the time...I don't worry about mileage, cuz if I got a mustang, I would never sell it...I don't really worry about the other stuff....I just drive it....If I get the cobra, it will be my first car, and it won't be a garage queen, it will be a daily driver...I would use any car for a daily driver

i'd say the best thing is start with any ol 87-93 5.0 hatch and build what you want out of it for 10 important reasons
1) you dont have to worry about ruining the collectability
2) lower insurance
3)wont be nearly as heartbraking if you wreck it, since there are soo many around
4) waaaaaaaaaaaay cheaper
5)easier to find
6) you can still bring it up to cobra specs
7)you'll more likely be able to say "yeah i bought it with my own money" than if you were going for one of those other cars, which is quite possibly the bestest part
8) you can save more $$ for that dream car later. my dream is a 71 mach 1 w/ a weiand blown ford 520 and 6 speed, but a cobra II kicks hiney too. so im building a sweet car on my own and leaving something to be desired for my future!
9) and its still a stang lol
10) because i told you to

i gaurantee you the ins is less on the stang than on any of the others. RX7 insurance for me was $3000+ a year. thats kinda why i didnt buy one lol

A 1989 would be the best year for modding, MAF and no air bags to deal with, BUT... For someone your age a 1990 may be a little better due to the airbags. For most insurance companies they will lower insurance, though not all.
