new CST-V 600hp!

http://www.autoblog.com/2007/06/04/m...-devil-engine/

I thought all along the CTS-V would get the Z06 engine with 500hp...but now it looks like its going to get a detuned blue devil engine...

600hp!!! crazy.

We'd better be careful or they'll say we need a course in cultural sensitivity.

Eh...I think it's a huge improvement over the current model, but then that isn't saying much. What I find interesting is the problem the CTS' evolution in size is creating for Caddy. This thing is much closer in terms of exterior dimensions to a BMW 5-Series than a 3-Series. This is likely not going to help the ailing STS' quest to find a real spot in the Caddy lineup any easier.

The only logical solution I can see is for Caddy to replace our version of the STS with the lwb model China is getting, which would give these two cars the size differentiation they need while providing the STS with a back seat that doesn't draw laughter from the competition. Strangely GM apparently has absolutely no plans to do so, a decision which is certain to leave the STS withering on the vine.

My inside source says that Lexus is preparing to launch a new model. They call it 'the Zig'.

I think it looks a bit Evo'ish. But with 600hp, i'd pimp it!

Dang there used to be a time where all I had to worry about is hopped up Mustangs, Camaros, Vette's, and Vipers, Now I got to watch out for grandpa's Showroom stock caddy! Nice. Let's me know that the 6.2L S/C engine will make it in more models than just the Vette! I might just have to cut my cowl to make it fit in my car .

Have you seen the forthcoming CTS? It's awesome. And quality is Lexus level.

Watch the videos at the above link.

Ford/Lincoln has nothing to compete with it...yet. And that's sad.

It's the perfect car for the Perrier-sipping, caviar-munching, metro-sexual suit who pines for an American hotrod, but who must buy a luxury sports sedan to impress his Walstreet friends.
