New Challenger Video

Cool stuff!

Car looks AND sounds impressive rolling down the road.

And it seems like the inside 'headlights' serve as the turn signals.

Well, at least they didn't totally screw it up like Pontiac did the GTO.
It looks and sounds like a Challenger should.
If they had trimmed the fat and the price we would really have something there.

That car is simply awesome..I will have one come hell or high water.
I just love how deep the grille is inset. The leading edge of the hood looks like it could slice you in two. Fantastic!

I agree, the exterior really is pretty much perfect. I'm convinced they spent so much money on the exterior that there was nothing left for the interior, however, which is pretty disappointing. Not a deal breaker, mind you, just a little like imagining our Mustangs with a Ford 500 interior.

I would love one of these, too. Dunno, Doug, I think the entire first year are sold out, with year two filling up orders pretty fast. Getting one of these SRT-8 variants will be like trying to get GT500s, IMHO.

Thing is, I wouldn't want to sell my GT. And color...which one to go with? The Hemi Orange is awesome, but a bit flashy and might get old after a while. I'm betting the black is just sinister on this thing.

Well my plan is to get an R/T in the second or third year. MY stang is payed off so I'm keeping it as a daily driver. I'll either go with Black or PLum Crazy if offered but I'm leaning toward black.
I love the fact that the black is metallic

At least the headlights are true projector HID's, none of that crap the Mustang has.

Yeah, it's just a much better executed package. Dodge seems to "get it" (at least on the outside).

Also, look at the wheel clearance - none of that 4X4 stuff like on the Mustang.

Don't get me wrong - I love my car...I'm just being wholly objective when comparing Dodge's attitude towards building a muscle car vs. Ford's.

The steering wheel is a deal breaker for me though.

They have always called it pearl. My dads 64 GMC truck had pearl paint. Paint with flakes is pretty much just pearl.

Good to know BA....
I saw this color on a Charger the other day and it defeintely wqasn't your typical pearl paint..it didn't have the pearlessence to it..it was just a metal flake hence my statement about marketing terms and symantics.

This is just my observation though

well... it does look nice and sleek, but its still a dodge, i wonder how long before the transmission goes out? or before they start catching on fire?another downfall is the design! i can see DOOR-DING HEAVEN!!!! well people if you cant tell im ANTI-DODGE!!, i think there junk and ive been burnt twice on new chrysler products and the dealers wont stand behind ther products!! so good luck to all that are interested in there products! I will never have any type of there product ....unless i was to win one somehow, but then i would just sell it and buy something else, prob. another stang! just my.02
