Replaced the egr sensor and mpgs improved :nice:
https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/themust...7f14750cb6.jpg I added an engine start button since the random no start with the key became way worse. I just ran a new wire to the solenoid and that solved it for good. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/themust...8de2009abf.jpg |
A Cool Upgrade For an Annoying Problem! :nice:

Update
Diferential outer bearings were replaced a month ago. That's when I noticed the right brake drum & shoes were toast. The wire thing that held the band adjuster snapped and caused that wheel to drag the brake shoes very tight, destroying them. I just replaced the adjuster parts to drive the truck to work. Last Friday the left brake cylinder started leaking. After adding half a bottle of brake fluid, I made it home. So all those parts will be replaced now.

Time To Retire That Mouse Pad as Well! :jester:
Looking at The Lockjaw Pliers and The Grease Cap and I Realize They Have Not Upgraded The Old grease Cap Design in At Least 75 Years! You Would Think By Now They would have Redesigned Where you Could Remove One With a Tool Which Does Not Destroy The Part a Little Bit Everytime Its Installed or Removed! Oh Well The Engineers Would Have Made it a One Use Pop Top if They Fooled With it! If Memory Serves When I Retired From FORD We Could Still Get a Grease Cap With 1940's Part Number on it Which Was Used For Many Years on Larger Trucks! Kc |
Past week on Thursday a heater hose decided to go out in glory during a trip to my fiance's workplace. Replaced the good one :shame: To my defence, it was getting dark. Left the truck there and I came back on Saturday and replaced the other one. Truck fixed. 😁
