Those suits are what is causing GM's downfall. Time for some more Jeans and T-Shirt guys (at heart anyway) to take charge, look who made sure the new Mustang and the GT were made. An Enthusiast, not a bean counter. If there was a division that would be lead by a suit at GM it would be the Cadillac but someone with some attitude popped in there. Chevy and Pontiac need an overhaul, again, I offer my services as "almighty design approver guy".

UAW Won't Open GM Contract

General Motors will have to find ways to trim its costs within the existing labor deal with the United Auto Workers union, Reuters reported on Thursday. The UAW's president, Ron Gettelfinger, told the news service that GM hasn't asked the union to reopen the contract it signed in 2002. Gettelfinger did offer that the union will work with the company through the contract to cut costs, whether in healthcare or in other areas. GM expects its healthcare costs alone to rise to $5.6 billion this year, and some estimates put the cost of healthcare on each GM vehicle at $1500.

Ok first of all no offense is meant to you, because you, and everyone else, is entitled to thier own opinon and I respect that.

But this IRS stuff seriously needs to stop. I am getting really sick of it spreading into threads it doesn't belong in. The 2005 Mustang doesn't have an IRS. The 2006 Mustang doesn't have an IRS. The 2007 Mustang, won't have an IRS. Complaining about it won't help. I can understand why you would want to talk about it in the SC GT500 thread. It is a lot of money, and for that you want a lot of performance. To you that means an IRS. But in this thread we are talking about GM's downfall, and if we are going to compare Ford (and particularly the Mustang) to them in terms of success, then we have a HUGE hit on our hands (IRS or not). So while I know you are very committed to IRS, that doesn't mean it needs to be in the (seemingly majority of) posts you make. I am not trying to attack you, but I am pretty sure I speak for more than just myself. NO personal malice was intended, I am just trying to make TMS a better place (which is pretty hard to do given how great it is already).

JACK FROST, Have u ever had/driven a IRS mustang? do u no hwo easily those break on launches or how bad wheel hop is on exceleration? the IRS vs. SRA crap needs to stop, i like SRA for drag and IRS for road course, so just give it up and keep it in a seperate thread.

I pushed the Hot Button last week....guess what...I didnt win!!! I was never so happy!!!! I went in there for the sole purpose of playing the game. I watch about three other couples do the same thing. They're getting people in the dealersip, just no one is sticking around. I have to admit though...I had the best salesman EVER! He didnt pressure me to do anything..Another thing I thought was intresting, they keep all of the doors unlocked, and the keys in the driver's seat of every car on the lot! I thought that was a fantastic idea. A little suprised they did it, but they said they've always done it, and never had one stolen.

my local dealer had a 53k dollar yukon with the keys in the center console, brand new, most lock up the keys, justa bout 99 percent of all dealers

i no that, but i REALLY hate gm, i dont mind dodge, they have some competition. maybe i am just stubborn, no1 else is with me so i wont post about my thoughts on GM anymore
