And yes, that exhaust system was factory.
I remember seeing one brand new on the dealer floor back in the late 70's.

We were there because my dad was buying a Challenger. The forgotten Challenger made by Mitsubishi. So wrong.

Ford Capri Perana ... the only Capri with a (Mustang's) V8 engine ...

It was sold only in the South Africa.

Lotus Europa. Never seen a real one til this one
Always kind of liked these odd little cars for some reason. Only weighed about 1,600 pounds, was but 41" tall and could be had with a DOHC 4V motor with 126hp, IIRC. It made an Elise look a bit oversized and was pretty fast back in the day. Typical of any Lotus of the period, thay had atrocious build quality though.

The funny thing is, Ford originally wanted to call the Fusion Futura, but I think some other company had the rights to that name ...

Did anyone mention the 7-up Mustang? It may not be as forgotten on a Mustang forum, but I had honestly never heard of it before I joined the local Mustang club and one of the guys has one.

Glad you mentioned that. Here is our 'all original' 1975 Safety Orange Bricklin SV-1 with it's 351-W Ford engine. Less than 3,000 total were built: 1974 Bricklins had the AMC (360 engine), 1975 Bricklins had the Ford (351-W engine) and a few in 1976 with the same Ford engine. We sold ours back around 1999 or 2000 before we moved to NC. The original hydraulic gull wing doors were a bear to repair and most owners switched to air operated. Pics taken in our backyard, and on the beach at Daytona.

Renault 5 a.k.a. Renault Le Car.

The funny thing is, European version actually looked great, but by the time it went on sale in the USA they had to replace bumpers and we ended up with this ugly car.

And this was European model ... I still see many of them on the streets every time I visit.

"My father had a car salesman buddy. He was gonna fix him up real nice. Next thing I know, I'm gettin' dropped of in a Le Car with a fabric sunroof. All the kids are shoutin' at me, "Hey, Le George! Bonjour, Le George! Let's stuff Le George in Le Locker!"

Pontiac LeMans was actually the European Opel Kadett E.
In Serbia, they're nicknamed Suza (Tear), and they were some of the most reliable cars ever built along with Volkswagen Golf Mk. 2 and Mercedes W123.
