According to the April issue of Motor Trend, the Fairlane will replace the slow selling Freestar

I really wish they wouldn't call that the Fairlane, but they really do need to kill the Freestar. If anyone wonders why that thing doesn't sell, do yourself a little favor and go down to a Ford dealership. I suggest calling the paramedics in advance though, you're likely to stroke out when you see the pricetag.

Ain't no way that interior will make it into production. Nice though.

I agree with the name change, but it is keeping with the "F" beginning for names. I know that I will be having children around the time it becomes available, and I would prefer this to an SUV if it gets good MPG and a functional interior. Maybe Ford's new segment buster. Who knows.

o that interior is SWEET, but they woudn't put it ina ford, maybe a jaguar though

You know what's funny? We used to laugh at GTO and Charger for giving wrong name to the car, but now same thing happens to Ford.

Is the Ford version of the Element? Don't laugh to hard. I've got an Element and I put an 8 foot ladder inside, and buttoned up the car, all windows and doors closed...with two adults also inside. Ugly but very functional and, even fun to drive...but no one looks at us like they do when we drive the Mustangs!

It does look good. Cheap version of Land Rover.

Actually, this would more likely compete against the ungodly looking Chevy Uplander

They're about the same size (about the size of an Explorer) and have similar SUV/Minivan uses...
