DashCam Rear camera on back Convertible window

Has anyone installed the rear camera on the back window of a convertible.
Not sure how it would work with the folding top.
Would it break the window when it was was put down?
Thanks

I'm curious about this too. I need to get the camera from my previous vehicle installed in my '99 GT. Ideally, I'd like to have it still filming when the top is down, but I don't know if it can be mounted outside.

Blackvue DR750S-2CH DashCam in Convertible
(removed from F150 and re-installed in Mustang)

My install has the rear camera covered underneath in the well
liner with the conv top in the down position (my choice) Yes there
is enough room in well liner without crushing rear camera WITH
convertible top down. I checked the clearance running the top up
and down with the liner opened up (camera has room). I ran the rear
cam signal cable along side the rear defost cable, underneath the well
liner. Then behind rear seat top & bottom, along door sill, up right side
windshield post and visor area (beneath trim).
Removing the rear seat back and bottom was hardest part.
Test cameras ON before installing them. Hold and TEST monitor picture
with them in place by hand before attaching them with the glue the strip!
Just a tedious job for the rear cam.

I installed a Blackvue DR750S-2CH DashCam in my 2011 GT convertible last weekend. My install has the rear camera “stuck” on the rear glass so it folds down with the convertible top (my choice). The rear cam will be covered underneath while the conv top is in the DOWN position. I tested/checked the clearance several times. Yes there is enough room in well liner without crushing rear camera after putting the conv top down.
A good wiring job and worth it.
Always bench test your new camera system before the actual install …
