Clay barred wifes car today.

This past week I had my wife's front number and grill painted on her 2006 Mazda Tribute. Needed to be done due to years of rock chips and one very angering Walmart trip that resulted in a buggy and her front bumper meeting. Resulted in a deep gash in the bumper.

Any way they did a great job (to good actually). It made the rest of her look rough. So I took out a clay bar kit I have had for over a year and went to work this morning. This was only the second car I have clayed and it has been years since the first. It did an amazing job. Her car has never been garaged and only carported in the last three years. It's amazing how shiny the paint came out.

Car still needs to be waxed, but I am just amazed out how this process can bring the life back into a paint job.

Great job! Looks like it just rolled off the dealer lot.

A few more close up after the waxing. I'm still amazed at the out come. This is 8 year old paint that has never been cared for as far as I'm aware of.

Here is the area that made me want to do it. The front bumper was just so shiny and the upper wheel arch trim was so dull when I started. It's a lot better now.
