This ought to put to rest those who questioned whether the Auto Zone prototype mule headlights would be production or not.

That's assuming the lights aren't chopped on. Even giving that the benefit of doubt, I now have something else to lampoon:

WTG, GM, you managed to make a 'Vert top that makes the Mustang's so-so effort look downright sporty. In fact, that top makes the previous-generation Sebring top look downright sporty.

Those are production lights and rear spoiler (also absent on all the other mules). They are pics straight from Ed Pepper here http://fastlane.gmblogs.com/archives...onverti_1.html.

The top is designed to keep the roof line of the coupe which it does quite well IMO, and what most of us wanted to begin with. Other than being black instead of blue and probably not containing the huffed engine that is my next car.

I didn't like them either they look like spider eyes. Looks are subjective though. Hell I always thought Vanna White was not that hot. Everyone has opinins. 5th gen lovers love it detractors will not no matter what, all have their own opinion. It's the nature of the beast. It's why some guy with a 94 nissan with unpainted gaudy body kits and 12 foot tall wing look at it like a work of art.

I like those headlights, too bad they wasted money building those ugly multi light ones.

I'm with Moosetang on this one. While the top looks fantastic when up it looks kinda cobbled together when down. Also, I think this car is going to look better sans spoiler, just like the Mustang.

I think it looks pretty good also.... But as one poster said, sometimes you have to see it in person to really tell! All in all, -->

True top down looks like its missing something, here's hoping that theres a better cover. I'll have to see them up close to make the determination on the spoiler. I like GTO's without the spoiler in person but pics make it look like it's lacking something. The mule pics without the spoiler make the rear end look like it's missing something.

Looks like a Camaro with no roof to me. Still not feeling the car, looks like a train wreck of miscellaneous angles.

Well GM did construct those multi-lamp units just for the prototypes. GM did the same exact thing with the Malibu just before official photos were released.

It looks like the back is way too big compared to the front. It needs to get on a treadmill and trim that booty

I think it was Road and Track that described it as coke bottle shaped.

The convertible would look so much better if it didn't have that little lip in the sheet medal that surrounds the top.
